Raqs Media Collective transforms the Antikythera shipwreck and its artifacts into a metaphor for contemporary Athens and the shipwreck of everyday life through the installation Pamphilos, presented as part of Fast Forward Festival 6 and commissioned and produced by the Onassis Stegi.
Raqs Media Collective introduces the Athenian public to an immersive underwater experience in the city center—a work that brings to the fore the ancient shipwreck and the concept of the Pamphilos, not to prompt reflection on the danger of sinking, but to collectively consider the manifold possibilities of rescue.
