Knossos Palace model

Architectural model depicting part of the West Wing of Knossos Palace that was fabricated for the exhibition Architecture in Greece – The Mystical Language of Form.

The 3D model was digitally designed based on the research and hand drawn sketches of Dr. M. Korres.

The architectural model blends cutting-edge fabrication with artisanal craftsmanship. The core structure is from 3D printed PLA, providing accurate geometries and sharp structural lines, as well as wooden elements and soil. A specialized model maker applied appropriate colors and custom-drawn patinas to recreate the real-life textures and materials and properly represent the historical landmark.
